Elect the Social Services Transportation Advisory Council (SSTAC) Chair and Vice Chair for Calendar Year 2021.

a.              Staff would like to recognize and thank Lupe Green for her many years of dedicated service on the Social Services Technical Advisory Council (SSTAC). Ms. Green has been an important advocate for Rancho Tehama Reserve (RTR) and her assistance in the expansion of the Tehama Rural Area eXpress (TRAX) service area to include that portion of the region has been incredibly beneficial to Tehama County. Staff wishes the very best to Ms. Green in her future endeavors.

b.              Staff is pleased to announce the agreement with CDX Wireless for the development of the update to the TRAX radio system was approved at the December 22, 2020 Board of Supervisors Meeting. A kickoff meeting has been scheduled with the Consultant and work will commence as soon as possible after the first of the New Year.

c.              Staff would like to announce the delivery of three (3) new Ford Class A busses for the TRAX program. One of which is fitted with luggage racks and will be dedicated to the Rancho Tehama Reserve route to accommodate citizens who live in that area. Two (2) trolleys were also delivered December 18, 2020. An additional 22 passenger Glaval bus is scheduled for delivery in January. The six (6) transit vehicles were purchased with Federal 5311 grant funding.

d.              Staff has initiated the Annual Unmet Transit Needs process as of January 1, 2021.

Staff would like to provide a facility tour for the completed remodel via two (2) Class T Hometown Trolley buses to the Social Services Technical Advisory Council members and visiting guests.
