Adopt Resolution No. 02-2021: Unmet Transit Needs finding, "There Are Unmet Transit Needs, Including Needs That Are Reasonable To Meet."

The Social Services Transportation Advisory Council (SSTAC) met on March 4, 2021. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss unmet transit needs, compare them to the adopted definitions of "Unmet Transit Needs" and "Reasonable to Meet," and recommend a finding to the Tehama County Transportation Commission (TCTC). This process, and the ensuing finding, is a requirement of the Transit Development Act (TDA).

The SSTAC reviewed and discussed the needs received via email, surveys and a public hearing conducted at the February 22, 2021 TCTC/TCTAB meeting. On March 4, 2021, the SSTAC reviewed the TCTC/TCTAB adopted definitions of "Unmet Transit Needs" and "Reasonable to Meet" that were adopted August 27, 2013. After review of all information, the SSTAC recommends that the Tehama County Transportation Commission adopt the following action:

Adopt finding #3: There are unmet transit needs, including needs that are reasonable to meet. If adopted, staff will analyze the identified unmet needs and will return to the Commission with recommendations on how to potentially meet those needs.
