a. At the January 28, 2020 Board of Supervisors meeting the purchase of two (2) Glaval buses was approved, using Local Transportation Funds. There has been a delay in the Federal funding for the 2018 order with no anticipated approval date. Additionally, the collision on Gerber Road and 99W on January 7, 2020, is necessitating an immediate purchase in order to maintain the current level of service to the public.
b. Staff would like to announce that Walllis Design Studio Architects are currently compiling a cost estimate for Phase III of the Transit Facility upgrades. Their services were utilized for the first phase of the facility remodel which is predicted to be completed in April.
c. Transportation Manager, Jessica Riske-Gomez, is proud to announce that staff was awarded, on behalf of Tehama County Transit Agency Board, $592,998 in 5339 competitive grant funding for the third phase of the facility remodel, $300,000 in 5310 Enhanced Mobility of Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities for paratransit services and TCTC staff were the first in the state to submit the regions annual 5311 application.
