REQUESTED ACTION (S)

a)              Request adoption of Personnel Rule §5302: Deferred Compensation

BACKGROUND INFO

The purpose of this rule is to serve as a guide for process for the Tehama County Deferred Compensation Committee members and others. It is intended to assist the Committee in meeting its fiduciary obligations by effectively constructing, supervising, and evaluating the Deferred Compensation Program. The rule describes the program, the committee responsibilities and composition. The guidelines also include how meetings will be conducted, and how service providers will be selected.

The draft for this rule was created by the Personnel Department, and then reviewed by the Deferred Compensation Committee. The process then continues to presentation and/or approval by the full Board, which is the current step in processing this Personnel Rule.

This rule is aligned with the Tehama County Strategic Initiative Values: Accountability - We hold ourselves accountable to the public we serve and make sound, conscientious, and carefully considered decisions.
