Financial Impact

There is no financial impact at the present time until the scope and task orders are returned to the Board for approval. In general, most projects are funded through State and Federal funding mechanisms such as the State Transportation Improvement Program (STIP), Highway Bridge Program, Highway Safety Improvement Program and Fixing Americas Surface Transportation Act (FAST)

a)              Request approval to advertise for On-Call Topographical Survey Services required on an as needed basis for a period of five-years with receipt of qualifications no later than 4:00 pm on July 3, 2019 at the Tehama County Public Works Department, 9380 San Benito Ave., Gerber, California

The Public Works Department seeks proposals for a five-year contract to perform On-Call Topographical Services on an “on-call” basis for the County’s various road and bridge projects through 2024.  These consultants will perform services that Public Works personnel cannot perform due to staffing levels.

The new agreements entered into will satisfy state and federal requirements and assist with upcoming road and bridge projects such as the 7.5 mile South 99W STIP project between Glenn County and Corning, 3.5 mile Lake California Drive Highway Safety Improvement Program Project, and others.

A Public Works Engineer will oversee and coordinate the work of the consultants.
