RED BLUFF COMMUNITY CENTER RE-ROOF PROJECT - Administrative Services Director Julie Sisneros

Financial Impact

This project is included in the ACO budget and costs will be shared with the City of Red Bluff. The total estimated project cost is $110,000, and half of actual costs will be reimbursed by the City.

a)              Consider adoption of a finding that the Red Bluff Community Center Re-Roof Project is categorically exempt from review under the California Environmental Quality Act, (CEQA) (Class 1 Categorical Exemption) and direction to the Chief Administrator to file the Notice of Exemption

b)              Request approval of the plans and specifications for the Red Bluff Community Center Re-Roof Project

c)                Request authorization for Administration to advertise for bids on the project, with the bid opening to be held at 3:00 p.m. on June 26, 2018 in the Administrative Office, 727 Oak Street, Room #202, Red Bluff, California

The existing composition shingle roof at the Red Bluff Community Center has exceeded its life expectancy and is experiencing leaks. Roof replacement is necessary as an expected step in the building's lifecycle.  Two flat roofs on the building are performing well and are not included in the project scope of work.  The agreement between the County and the City of Red Bluff gives the County responsibility for management of capital improvement projects.  Costs of the project, including staff time, are shared 50/50 with the City of Red Bluff.
