Financial Impact

Spending for forensic science technology laboratory services is anticipated within the fiscal budget.

REQUESTED ACTION (S)

a)              AGREEMENT - Request approval and authorization for the Chairman to sign the agreement with Central Valley Toxicology, Inc. for the provision of forensic science technology laboratory services for the rates as set in Exhibit “B” with  maximum compensation not to exceed $20,000 per year, effective upon the date of signing for three years

CVT is a private forensic toxicology laboratory with a distinguished reputation as the trusted choice among:

a)              Coroners and medical examiners

b)              Law enforcement agencies

c)              Criminal and civil litigation attorneys

d)              Universities, hospitals, private physicians, and other forensic toxicology laboratories

 

Tehama County has used this service provided by the vendor for well over 13 years.
