Tehama County

Regular Item

PROBATION DEPARTMENT - Chief Probation Officer Richard Muench

Category:Agreement/Grant Review

Financial Impact

The Agreement will generate revenue for Tehama County Juvenile Detention Facility (JDF). It is estimated that Siskiyou County will be placing 2 to 4 youth on an average daily basis. Depending on the use of the contract and the amount of revenue produced will either be used to support the increased workload or reduce net county cost. At this time, it is not anticipated this Agreement would cause a negative financial impact on the current budget of JDF. The current operational staffing and supplies within JDF are projected to be sufficient to serve the potential Siskiyou County wards.

a)              AGREEMENT - Request approval and authorization for the Chief Probation Officer or his designee to sign the agreement with Siskiyou County to provide board and care of Siskiyou County Minor(s) for daily bed rate of $100 per day, per ward, with a maximum compensation amount not to exceed $45,000, effective upon signing and shall terminate 6/30/18

(Miscellaneous Agreement #2017-237)

This agreement will allow for Tehama County Juvenile Detention Facility to provide board and care for Siskiyou County wards and invoice Siskiyou County Probation for the cost of services and at a daily bed rate. This Agreement is at the request of the Siskiyou County Chief Probation Officer.
