BACKGROUND INFO

The Public Works engineering office is a commercial modular building consisting of four units assembled into one building which was manufactured in 1984.  The building was last re-roofed in 2002 when it was installed at the Tehama County Public Works complex.  The roof has previously sustained wind damage that lead to water damage along the north eave of the building. The seams in the roofing material have deteriorated due to age and wind damage.  On windy days, the layers of the existing membrane sheet separate and the seams between the building sub-units further tear apart leading to a progressive failure of the roof.

The proposed project will remove the existing roof, make any necessary repairs and install a new roof.  This will weather proof the roof and provide better temperature control within the building. The total roof area is approximately 2,830 sq ft.
