REQUESTED ACTION (S)
a) Request approval and authorization to dissolve the Dormant Wells and Related Groundwater Issues Ad Hoc Committee, established by the Board of Supervisors on October 18, 2016
On 1/18/16, the Dormant Wells and Related Groundwater Issues Ad Hoc Committee was formed to address concerns regarding implementation of Ordinance No. 2006 and explore possible alternatives. The ad hoc committee met with affected stakeholders and brought a draft ordinance with recommended revisions to the Board for direction on 3/7/17. Ordinance No. 2017 formally amends Title 9 of the Tehama County Code relating to groundwater well permits and dormant groundwater wells. This request is to formally disband the ad hoc committee which has fulfilled its assigned task.
