This agreement is fully funded from the State of California Hospital Preparedness Program Year 15 allocation. There has been an increase in the state allocation for FY 16-17 to cover the $17,283 increase.
REQUESTED ACTION (S)
a) AGREEMENT - Request approval and authorization for the Executive Director to sign Amendment No.1 to the Agreement with Dignity Health dba St. Elizabeth Community Hospital (Misc. Agree. #2016-222) for the provision of more of the same services within the Hospital Preparedness Plan (HPP) for disaster and emergencies, as well as the purchase of a POD refrigerator, thereby increasing the compensation amount by $17,283 for total maximum compensation not to exceed $105,307

Tehama County Health Services Agency (TCHSA) requires essential services and staff coordination in order to meet the State requirements for the Hospital Preparedness Program (HPP) Year 15. The increase in the maximum allowable under the agreement allows for more staff time to be expended to meet the requirements of the State. The increase also allows for the purchase of a POD refrigerator to provide additional capacity to store medication in the event of an emergency. If this amendment is not approved, the hospital would not meet the deadline of March 31, 2017 to purchase equipment, and would lose funding to cover necessary staff hours for the HPP coordinator.
