a) AGREEMENT - Request approval and authorization for the Social Services
Director, or her Designee, to sign the Psychotropic Medication Data Sharing Agreement between the California Department of Social Services (CDSS) and the California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) for health care and child welfare services data sharing thereby designating Tehama County to receive data under this MOU for health oversight purposes, at no cost to the County and for no set term

This Agreement is part of a State Quality Improvement Project: Improving Psychotropic Medication Use in Children and Youth in Foster Care. The project focuses on improving the monitoring of psychotropic medication use for children in foster care. Obtaining State level data matches between foster care data in the Child Welfare Services/Case Management System and Medi-Cal pharmacy paid claims records, Counties can ensure that trauma-informed treatment is provided in conjunction with any use of psychotropic medications, and that such medications are monitored and used only when medically necessary.
