REQUESTED ACTION (S)
a) RESOLUTION NO. 2017-27 - Request adoption of a resolution approving the Records Retention Schedule for the Tehama County Sheriff Coroner’s Office (four-fifth vote required)
The proposed record retention schedule sets forth the required holding period for most common types of county records, and authorizes the department to destroy old records after these periods have expired. These holding periods are based upon state law and best practice, and include special rules for sensitive records (such as records related to litigation or personnel issues, or records having unique historical value).
